Course history bulk upload makes it easy to overview, measure, and follow up on your Learners' efforts and progress when it comes to any type of learning. You're able to add any course history that your Learners have completed outside of Learnster. This allows you to get the full scope of their learning journey all gathered in Learnster. 🤓
Go to Studio, > Users > Import Learners, and choose between uploading External Course History or Learnster Course History. It is crucial to use the correct import section to ensure that course history records are updated accurately. For example, external course history must be uploaded using the “External course history” importer.

External course history doesn't have to be linked to any existing course in Learnster, but will still be added to the Learners' individual course history in Learnster. If you have uploaded external course history records but they do not appear in users’ Completed Courses, ensure that the file was imported using the correct section, specifically the “External course history” importer. Files uploaded to other sections, such as “Import users,” will not update course history records. If you suspect the file was imported into the wrong section, you can safely re-upload it through the correct importer. There is no risk of creating duplicate records for users who currently have no course history. In the rare case that duplicates are created, they can be removed later by an administrator with the appropriate tools.
Learnster course history can be a course that previously has been conducted outside of Learnster but now exists as a Learnster course. Then you can upload the course history and connect it to this Learnster course. The course history will then not only be added to the Learners' individual course history, but also to the overall course analytics! Common issues include incorrect import sections, archived course restrictions, and duplicate records. Always double-check the import section to avoid errors, unarchive courses for modifications, and resolve duplicates with administrative tools if necessary. To manage archived courses, first unarchive the course to unlock it. Once unarchived, you can add learners, upload completion records, or make other necessary changes. After completing your updates, re-archive the course to maintain its archived status.
