The user profile page in Studio gives you a complete picture of each learner — their contact information, roles, course progress, and custom attributes, all in one place. 🧑💼
To open a user's profile, go to Studio → Users and click on any user in the list.
Profile header
The header shows the user's core identity and key actions:
Name and avatar
Primary email — the email address used for login and notifications.
Alternate email — an optional secondary email address. Click Add an alternate email to set one. Note: notifications are sent to the primary email only.
Phone number — optional contact field.
Active / Inactive toggle (top right) — deactivates or reactivates the user's access. See Deactivating and Reactivating Users.
SSO settings (gear icon) — per-user SSO configuration, if applicable.
View as button — opens the Impersonator, which lets Super Admins see the platform exactly as this user sees it. See Impersonator – View the Platform as Your Learners Do.
Information tab
The Information tab holds the user's profile fields and organisational details:
Title — the user's job title.
Company — the user's company or department.
Office — office or location.
Country
About — a free-text bio field.
Direct manager — assign who this user reports to. The manager gets a Direct Manager Team automatically containing all their direct reports.
Direct Reports — visible if this user is someone else's direct manager.
Member of teams — shows which Teams this user belongs to.
Custom attributes — any custom fields your organisation has configured (e.g. employee ID, cost centre) appear here. See Custom Attributes to set them up.
Roles
Use the Add Role button in the Information tab to assign one or more roles to a user. A user can hold multiple roles at the same time — for example, a Learner who is also a Team Manager.
The Roles tab at the top of the profile shows a breakdown of where each role applies (for example, which teams a Team Manager manages).
See User Roles and Permissions for a full description of each role.
Courses tab
The Courses tab gives you a per-user view of learning activity:
A donut chart showing status breakdown: Not Started, In Progress, Overdue, Completed.
Ongoing Courses — courses the user is currently enrolled in.
Completed — a table of finished courses with course name, duration, score, and completion date.
You can also add a course directly to the user from this tab using the Add course button.
