Learnster is built for organizations that work in many languages. Learners can use Learnster U in 19 languages, and from version 39, admins and course creators can also work in Studio in Swedish and German, as well as English.
New: Studio in Swedish and German
Admins and course creators can now build courses, manage users and follow up on learning in their own language.
Available Studio languages
English
Swedish
German
How to change your Studio language
Log in to Studio. You land on the course list.
Scroll to the footer of the course list.
Choose your language.
ℹ️ Note: for the language to be available in Studio, it also needs to be enabled in Learnster U. Language settings are not linked between Studio and U, since more languages are available in U than in Studio.
What stays in English
Data fields in reports are still in English.
Role names are not translated.
Keeping these consistent makes it easier for colleagues who work in different languages to collaborate, for example when sharing reports or discussing permissions.
Languages in Learnster U
Learnster U, where learners take their courses, is available in:
English (US), English (UK), Swedish, Dutch, Chinese, German, Finnish, Danish, Norwegian, Polish, Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Czech, Slovak and French.
Which languages learners can choose
Admins decide which languages are activated for your workspace in Studio → Settings → General → Language in Learnster U. Learners can then switch between the activated languages in the footer of any page in Learnster U.
Default language and emails
The default language is the language users see when they log in to Learnster U. New users also get it as their account language.
Notifications are sent in each user's account language, so invitation emails to new users are sent in the default language.
The language a learner picks in the Learnster U footer only changes what that browser shows. It doesn't change the language of their emails.
If a system message has no version saved in a user's language, it's sent in English.

Course content in several languages
The interface language and the language of your course content are separate. To offer courses in more than one language:
Use the Course Translator to translate existing courses with AI.
Tag courses with a language so learners and admins can filter by language in the catalog and in Studio.
